The Little Lake City School District shares, with deep sadness, the passing of Little Lake City School District Trustee Janet Rock. Trustee Rock dedicated her life to serving our district as a member of our school board for the past 13 years and was once a valued staff member, where her passion for education and commitment to our community was unwavering.
Trustee Rock was elected to the Board in 2011, having previously served from 2001 to 2005, and continued her devoted service until her recent passing. Throughout her tenure, Trustee Rock championed initiatives that have left a lasting impact, including full-day kindergarten, classroom improvements, and safety upgrades funded by the passage of crucial bond measures. Known for her steadfast advocacy for students and support for staff, her influence can be felt across every corner of our schools.
A resident of the district for over sixty years, Trustee Rock’s love for Little Lake extended beyond her professional life, with both her children and grandchildren attending Little Lake City School District. Her legacy as a compassionate leader and community champion will continue to inspire us all.
